I have been on the hunt for a great MLBB (My Lips But Better) lipstick for some time now and this Maybelline SONude lippie is part of this quest. Unfortunately, Maybelline's Rosy Rebel NU34S would not be the end of the search.

I had the courage to approach the Maybelline counter and tried some shades and I was drawn to this line because its marketed as "So Nude." I was determined to go home with a purchase and so I asked the makeup lady to help with the swatches. I actually liked the color of this lipstick in the store; but as past experiences indicate, it would not turn out well under "normal" lighting.

This registered as a bit of peachy pink on me. Outside natural lighting would turn the color more peachy, bordering into neony and bright, which I find not really nude material. My lips would actually stand out when I wear this, very far from it's labeled "So Nude" promise.

Overall: While Maybelline SoNude Color Sensational Lipstick in Rosy Rebel (NU34S) is not a total disappointment color-wise and quality-wise, my actual goal for this Maybelline So Nude lipstick is a fail. The quest for that perfect MLBB continues!
