Bloody, Red & Black Nails - This is a simple do-it-yourself nail art perfect for the upcoming Halloween. This is quick and easy to do, even for beginners (like me) and you only need minimal materials.

Hello guys. Halloween is just a few days away and while we don't really have the same celebration (i.e. dressing up and treat or treating), I figured doing a theme this week would be fun. For Monday, I'm featuring a simple and easy to do nail "art." I use the term "art" loosely as this manicure does not require any artistic talent to pull off. This is also fairly quick and you won't need any special tools to do this. Let's begin!

What You'll Need:
Base and Top coat
Makeup sponge
Red nail polish
Black nail polish
Nude nail polish
Seche Base and Seche Vite

Rimmel Nail Polish in 311 Caramel Cupcake
Apply the base coat, followed by two coats of the the red and nail polish. Make sure to let dry completely between each coat.
Using a spare sponge applicator and a disposable plastic spoon for the ombre effect, tap the black polish from 1/3 down your nail down to your tips. You can also just apply the polish directly onto your sponge. Let dry. *I used the red nail polish for the ombre effect in my accent nail.
Apply a second gradient coat, focusing just on the tips. Let dry. Finish off with a top coat.

Tips:
1. I used a sponge eye shadow applicator (from one of my Maybelline eye palettes) which made it easy and precise in applying the gradient color.
2. Make sure to let your nail polish dry between each coat. This keeps it look nice and smooth.
