Happiest New Year Everyone! We look forward to another year. I am more optimistic going into 2016 than I was last 2015. I'm glad to have accomplished so much in the past 365 days in my blogging life. As what I've said last year "I'm very thankful as I take a look back at my adventures in beauty. I hope to have more opportunities to discover more great products this coming 2016." On that note, let me take a look back at the wonderful year that was and share with you my favorites:

Skin Care:
Himalaya Herbals Purifying Neem Scrub and Neem Face Pack
People with normal to oily skins would greatly benefit from the two products. Even those with drier skin can also benefit from the purifying and skin brightening effect. I also love that the company (Himalaya Herbals) promote natural products, free of chemicals like Paraben and SLS/SLES. On top of that, their products are quite affordable.

Sunkiller Super Lasting Base 50+ SPF50+ PA++++
You get both a good, lightweight makeup base and sun protection for a little more than Php 400. While this product will not give you the coverage of a foundation it does prepare your skin for the makeup. It evened out my skin tone, made my pores less visible and mattified my rather oily face.

Leaders Insolution Derma Soul Detox Mask
You can't go wrong using any (variant) mask from Leaders Insolution. The detox mask left my skin looking fresh, supple and smooth the morning after. The sheet is thicker than most face masks and was soaked generously with serum. It didn't feel sticky while on and the essence was absorbed quickly.

Base (Foundation):
Dr. Jart Radiance Beauty Balm
This all-in-one, one-step product does live up to its claims of  giving you glowy, radiant-looking, brightened, almost-perfect skin. It's light, creamy, and smooth texture doesn't feel heavy on my face. It also didn't leave me looking like a grease ball even after several hours of wear (no touch-ups!). The shade selection is non-existent but if you fall in the middle of the spectrum and is looking for brightening BB cream, you should really consider buying this product.

Eye Shadow:
Shiseido Shimmering Cream Eye Color in Lavande (VI226)
Packs a lot of pigment and color and lasts all day. The texture and formula is a dream - creamy, silky, lightweight and blends easily. This lasted on my oily lids the whole day without creasing and fading. I love its dewy, shimmery finish with a luminous, lit-from-within quality that brightens my eyes.

Sleek Make Up iDivine Palette in Sunset
Each of the eye shadows have vibrant pigmentation, great color payoff and have a soft, buttery texture. They were very easy to blend. The colors look distinct when applied and don't end up looking like a muddy mess on the eyes. Longevity is also above average with most of the shadows lasting up to 6 hours. This palette is a definite steal at only about $12.

Blush:
theBalm Instain Long-Wearing Staining Powder Blush in Toile
This face-brightening blush is intensely pigmented, with opaque coverage. It applied smoothly and evenly. It wore well and long and still looked good as new after eight hours.

e.l.f. Studio HD Blush in Superstar
A medium peachy coral. This shade would suit almost all skin tones as it does lean too warm nor too cool. While the tricky formulation would require you to be more careful in application, the color is really pretty and wearable. It just brightens up my face and flatters my skin tone.

Sleek Makeup Blush by 3 in Pumpkin
Offers highly pigmented, smooth, and blendable colors in a compact, travel-friendly package. The almost neon-y shades look scary on the pan, but applied with a light hand, they would give you subtle a flush. This palette is perfect for everyone, especially those who love bright colors (like me!).

Lipstick:
Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color Lipstick in Mocha-licious (914C)
Mocha-licious is a deep mocha brown with warm undertones. The shade definitely gives off a very 90's vibe - I didn't expect to like this on me but I actually do. Texture is soft and smooth, with the lipstick gliding on to my lips with no difficulty.

MAC Lipstick in Please Me (Matte)
Offers unique and pretty shade - a (muted) Barbie-pink that brightens your complexion without looking over the top. This has become my go-to color if I want to look feminine and sweet. The shade strikes a great balance between being too pink and being too nude. It has opaque pigmentation, smooth and and even application, non-drying texture and long-lasting wear time.

MAC Matte Lipstick in Kinda Sexy (Matte)
While described as a neutral pink, I think that Kinda Sexy looks more neutral peach. The shade is in the same color family with Velvet Teddy (brown-based) that it is light nude-brown except Kinda Sexy is peach-based and really looks great for those with yellow (warm) undertones.
