Hello guy. Hope you had a good start of the week. I am continuing on with the barrage of lipstick reviews. Today, I have the shade Purty Persimmon 970. It's the last of my Wet n Wild lipstick stash. I have accumulated quite a collection of these so I hope to make a video of swatches soon so you can compare them side by side.

Purty Persimmon 970 is a medium, vivid orange red with warm undertones. This is good dupe of MAC Lady Danger and So Chaud so if you are eyeing either of those lipsticks, you can try this shade first.

This color is very bright and personally, I don't really find this shade very appealing on me. It somehow look more orange and pulls the yellow in my skin tone. The color does brighten the whole face. It provides a good contrast if you are wearing minimal makeup. This makes for a great statement lip and would look smashing this summer season.

As with all the Megalast lipsticks I've tried before, you get opaque pigmentation with one layer. It's not a true matte. It's soft enough so that it glides smoothly and evenly on the skin. I also observed that this shade is a bit creamier compared to other shades from the line.

On lips: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Purty Persimmon 970

This felt lightweight and non-sticky on the lips. I find though that due to the creamy texture, it has a tendency to slip over time. It's not major "bleeding off the corners" disaster but it's a detail you should consider when applying. You can do multiple, thin layers to prevent this or use a nude lip liner under. Nonetheless, this stayed on longer than average, up to four hours with a light meal. It wore off evenly and didn't settle on lines.
