Hey there guys. It's a rainy Monday and I'm here to brighten up your day with a review. I'm not really a fan of lip glosses as most of the time, I prefer matte lips. I find glosses to be sticky and messy, especially when this happens:

I do break out the gloss on low key days - when I just need a bit of color and shine to brighten up my face. On that note, I have Maybelline Color Sensational Color Elixir Lip Lacquer in Captivating Carnation (what a mouthful).

Coverage is medium, with semi-opaque pigmentation. It does deliver a good amount of color but if you have pigmented lips (like me) it will surely show through. You can build up the color to a certain extent (maybe two or three layers) but that will result to goopiness so I will say the formula is slightly buildable.

This applied a smoothly but a bit unevenly on the lips. The good things about this it it didn't settle on lines. The lip gloss is non-sticky and felt lightweight on the lips. After a couple of hours of wear, it did feel a little sticky due to the dry down so you can reapply.

I do like this gloss and has been using this intermittently over the last week. This lip gloss has above average wear, up to four hours. It definitely delivered adequate hydration . One thing that I don't like about this gloss is the scent, as most Maybelline products have. It have a flowery, perfume-y scent that is on the verge of making me sneeze. I does disappear after a few minutes so I kind of got used to it over the last week.
