I was doing my usual stroll along the beauty aisle yesterday and finally decided to check out the new Revlon Ultra HD Matte Lip Colors. I already saw the new display last week but I was on a self-imposed no-buy so I didn't stop by the Revlon booth to avoid temptation. *_*

I asked if I could take a picture of the tubes and the friendly SA (thankfully) said yes. These new lip colors are available in eight shades:

HD Seduction - a light, pinky nude
HD Obsession - a deep bright fuchsia pink
HD Love - a medium bright tomato red
HD Flirtation - a light, medium coral
HD Devotion - a medium pink
HD Temptation - a medium bright coral pink
HD Passion - a deep, dark red
HD Addiction - a dark burgundy plum

The packaging is fresh and new. Instead of tubes, they come in long oblong, transparent glass container that feels very sturdy. They also have a sweet, floral/bubblegum smell that dissipates over time. I swatched a few shades that caught my eye. These babies are neither lipstick not lip gloss, hence they are called "lip color." They do deliver vibrant, opaque colors with just a single swipe.

After 1-hr: Still looking shiny

I expected these to dry down much like a typical liquid lipstick but they don't. After an hour, they still look as shiny and glossy as when they were freshly swatched. I'm a bit confused because they are marketed as matte, but they really are not your typical matte. The shininess/wetness does lend to less dryness on the lips (a typical problem of matte lipsticks).
