Hey there guys. Happy Monday to everyone. I'm back with a review after that bad case of flu last week. Hopefully I will on my way to full recovery so I can focus more on trivially important things. *_* I'll be kicking off the week to good health with a double dose of lip products from Benefit Cosmetics.

This duo is part of a set from Pucker Up and Party I got months ago. This somehow got lost in the mountains of products lined up for review but I discovered these when I was organizing my stash. The whole set contains four products - 2 full sized lip balms and 2 mini lip and cheek stains:

- Mini Benetint lip & cheek stain deluxe sample, 4 mL

Benebalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm is described as "kiss of sheer color gives you the sexiest lips." This gives a light rosey red tin with a shiny finish. This is supposed to be a buildable color, with lip-softening, lip-hydrating and lip-conditioning properties due to the mango butter and sodium hyaluronate.

Benetint Rose Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain is described as "original rose-tinted stain is kiss-proof, see-through color for lips and cheeks that lasts for hours." This one imparts a deeper rose hue (vs the lip balm) with matte finish.

Personally, I always prefer matte, full color lip products because I like having the option of sheering out it out or putting a more opaque finish. With Benebalm, you only get the tiniest hint of rosy red color with the added benefit of moisturizing your lips.

On lips: Benebalm Hydrating Tinted Lip Balm

For me, the $18 price tag is not really worth it. The tint is not as buildable as claimed so even if I try to layer on more (I tried 3 layers), I only get more goopy lip with no more color as I get with a single layer. I'm also not a fan of the cloying rose scent. The smell went away after several minutes but it being so close to my nose made me a bit dizzy and nauseous. This product is not for me but would be perfect for those looking for a lightweight tinted lip balm. It gives my lips a natural-looking red tint with a bit of shine. It feels light on the lips yet also moisturizing and conditioning.

Benetint Rose Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain

Benetint has achieved cult status as a favorite lip and cheek product to many beauty enthusiast.  This product gives a sheer yet rich red tint. I applied three swipes on my cheeks and blended it out. One layer is enough for that pretty flush of color but this can also be built up to get a bright, more pronounced shade.

On lips and cheeks: Benetint Rose Tinted Lip and Cheek Stain

On my lips, Benetint applied somewhat patchy. This is maybe because my lips are not in good condition and peeling in some parts right now. Nonetheless, the color is a rosy red that really fresh and youthful. It also lasted long, up to five hours and it's easy to touch up since you don't get product build up.

Cons:
- Needs to be blended quickly to avoid streaking
- Slight rose scent
