Hey there guys. I am continuing on with my
Colourpop parade with another lippie stix for today. I featured this one in a
haul several months ago. I've been using/testing this every now and then and I'm now ready to share my thoughts.

This lipstick is kind of special and I feel a sense of camaraderie with
it because it's named after my zodiac sign, Taurus. I was compelled to buy this one
just because of this. *_* This lipstick is part of Kathleen Lights' second collection with
Colourpop called "Where the Night Is."

Taurus is described as "a mid-tone yellow brown with a matte
finish." The shade turned out to be a medium-deep rusty coppery brown
with red/orange warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. I think the
name suits the color as this is truly a very earthy and practical yet
somehow unique shade much like a typical Taurean can be.

The yellow undertones in the shade made it look more rustic brown on my lips and under a different light, even a reddish brown. I've seen this look a darker brown on Kathleen's lip swatch while others have said that this turned out to be more orange on their lips. I do like how it turned out on me but this is definitely a statement (stare-inducing) lip so I don't wear this as often.

Although this is supposed to be a matte, this does not have an entirely
matte finish as I can see some sheen and feels very satiny. It's not a
bad thing though as it this makes it a lot less drying and helps your
lips look plump and healthy.

Taurus has the same typical formula with the rest of the matte lippie stix that I own. It's very pigmented and one swipe gives you intense color. It applied evenly, with full and opaque coverage. It was easy to put on and glided smoothly across the lips without tugging nor pulling.

Wear time is also excellent as it lasted over six hours on my lips. The texture is creamy and felt light and comfortable on the lips. Surprisingly, this lipstick is not drying at all. This also didn't settle along the lip lines and didn't bleed out.
