Happy (and rainy) Monday guys. I'm keeping up with the reviews! (Yey) For today, I have a rare eyeliner review. While I do wear eyeliners on an almost daily basis, I usually only use dark browns and whenever my mood permits some flashy color like blue, green or purple. It is rare that I wear black as I find them too dark for daytime use. When my mom asked if I had any spare black eyeliner, I was kind of surprised to find out that I only have two (a liquid and retractable pencil both from KPalette).

To compensate for that, I bought this ZOEVA Graphic Eyes Eye Liner in Black to Earth from Sephora Ph. I decided on this one since reviews of this product are quite promising and more importantly, it's reasonably priced.

ZOEVA Graphic Eyes Eye Liner in Black to Earth

Black to Earth is described as a "rich matte black." The color is really intense and almost a flat, matte black. It's also opaque and very pigmented. I was impressed at how opaque this eyeliner was. A single swipe delivered full pigmentation so I have to remember to apply with a light hand both to avoid clumps and smudging.

The texture is very creamy and soft. Due to the smooth formula, this applied effortlessly. It needs to set for a few seconds but right after that, it's basically budge-proof and transfer-proof. Wear time is good with up to four hours of smudge-free eyeliner.

While I am impressed by how it looks freshly applied (and the few hours after that) I was disappointed to find out that this gave me a case of "panda eyes."The first time it happened, I figured that I might have messed up my application but this has already happened twice so I'm sure the eyeliner is the problem.

The usual culprit for the smudging and transfer would most likely be my oily lids as well as the humid weather so drier skins maybe able to make this eyeliner work. I really wanted to love this eyeliner but I'm not sure I'm willing to test it out the third time as checking for panda eyes every so often is really inconvenient, not to mention the messy and inconvenient clean-up.
