I have been on a nude phase lately so I decided to mix things up and get something with a little bit more color that I can still wear everyday. While red lipsticks are a classic, they can be hard to wear especially on less formal occasions, so I opted for a more playful and fun pink lippie.

I got Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive - my second tube from their Matte Balm line (see my review of Sultry). Elusive can be described as medium pink with yellow, warm undertones.

The pink registers as very pretty and clean. It's a subtle shade that will add a hint of color on your face without it being too loud.

I'm particularly wary of light/medium pinks because they tend to wash me out and look unnatural (I'm looking at you Pale Pink!) but Elusive lends enough warmth to avoid looking too chalky. I'm glad to add such a unique pink color in my makeup stash.
Elusive applied very opaque and one or two swipes covered my whole lips. The matte formula did not feel too heavy on my lips. I didn't experience that uncomfortable lipstick-y feeling since only a small amount of product was needed to cover your whole lips.
Application was smooth and velvety with no hint of any shimmer or shine. This is not completely matte. It does have a satiny, smooth texture that didn't tug on my lips. The color didn't settle on my lines and offered great coverage which resulted to an evenfinish. No flakiness and dryness whatsoever!

TIP: For a polished and perfect lip look, apply foundation on and around the lips before lip color. Foundation helps to prep the lip area for a more flawless application and helps lip color last longer
FOTD: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive
Overall: Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in Elusive offers a pretty and subtle color choice for those looking for an everyday pink. It applies smooth and velvety and not overly drying. Wear time is above average with at least 4-5 hours of wear through a couple of drinks and a meal. This is a great choice for all the girly, pink lovers out there.
