Hello guys. How is your weekend going? I spent the past couple of days mostly in bed as I was battling a bad case of allergies plus maybe the early onset of flu. I'm feeling better now after several allergy medications and loads of natural remedies (tea, lemon, honey, lots of water). I may need another couple of days to fully recover so I'm taking it slow.

To wrap up this week, I've got another lipstick review. These liquid
lipsticks are really becoming prevalent in the beauty world lately.
Maybelline has released their version with the Vivid Matte Lip Color. There were formerly known as "Velvet Matte" but I Maybelline renamed them to make them more catchy. I have the color Mat 6, which is one of the best-selling shade in the line (along with Mat 12, a pinky nude).

MAT 6 is a medium pinky berry with warm undertones. The shade is more pink than purple and not too dark so this is more wearable than you typical darker plums. This would flatter most skin tones and would instantly brighten up the face which may be the reason why this is one of the best-selling shades.

This is not your typical liquid lipstick formula which normally dry down
to a matte finish. I don't think they are really matte in the truest
sense because these stay shiny and wet-looking. Nonetheless, I like the
creamy texture of this lipstick. It readily glides smoothly and evenly
on the lips. This doesn't settle on lines nor emphasize any dry patches.

One layer will give you opaque color but I prefer to apply a couple of
swipes for full color and pigmentation. If you only want a hint of color
(tint), you can apply less. I like how this feels light and comfortable
on the lips. You don't get that goopy, sticky feeling reminiscent of
liquid glosses.

Staying power for this liquid lipstick is average. This stayed on for
around four hours on me which is expected since this has more of a
satiny formula and doesn't settle and dry down. I like that this doesn't
have any obtrusive scent.
