Hey there guys. TGIF! Let's get the party started with another lipstick from Colourpop. I have collected a number of these liquid lipsticks over these past few months and I'm really enjoying using these. I like how
Colourpop offers unique shades and also collaborate with several beauty personalities for well-thought collections.

Lumiere 2 is part of Kathleen Lights' collaboration with the company. The original
Lumiere was a Lippie Stix while Lumiere 2 is the liquid lipstick version. They also have reformulated their formula so I'm testing out how this fares against the older ones (
Trap,
Tulle, and
Solow).

Lumiere 2 can be described as a medium pinky mauve with slightly cooler undertones and a flat matte finish. Despite having worn this shade several times, I'm still on the fence if I like this on me. It looks more purple-y and darker on me vs what I see on the tube. Also, compared to color of the original Lumiere, this one is less pink.

The formula definitely has improved since this is less drying on the lips and applies better. The one one tend to dry up and crack, leaving you with unsightly peeling/cracking lips. This one has a better wear and feels more comfortable, without the drying feeling.

Pigmentation is still superb and you only need one layer for full and opaque coverage. It packs a lot of pigment. This applies glossy but will dry to a matte finish. I observed that the dry down is longer (around 5-10 minutes). That means two things: (1) you get more time to apply and play with it so you can get a perfect outline and (2) your lips gets less dry and you prevent cracks and uneven patches.

The formula is still lightweight and comfortable on the lips. It wasn't too watery nor too thick. The creamy gel-like texture applied smooth, evenly, and streak-free. This felt comfortable on the lips but you still need to prep well before application so you can avoid any dryness and peeling. As mentioned, I didn't notice any cracks developing over the course of me wearing it, so that is quite a good improvement.

Wear time is above average with the color looking good as new after
eight hours despite eating a good, hearty meal. The color stayed on my
lips the whole day and still looked decent even before I have to remove
it using micellar water.

I noticed though that this is not as transfer-proof as the older formula. I can feel some tackiness even after the initial dry down. When I drink from a glass of water, I can see a bit of my lip outline transferred on the glass. I guess it still a compromise between drying + transfer-proof versus less drying + budge-proof. I would certainly take the latter choice
