Hey guys. I'm back on the saddle testing out the collection of lipsticks that I have been neglecting lately.  I feel that despite getting little to almost no sleep (only four hours max), I have the energy and enthusiasm to try out more products. I can literally say "Makeup is my drug."

I have rummaged through my stash and found this Colourpop baddie. I can't believe I have been neglecting this one. I remember using this shade for one week straight when I first got it (See: Sneak Peek). Somehow, this got lost in the pile so it's fortunate that I my love for it has been rekindled. *_*

Brink is described as a "warm dusty taupe" with warm undertone and a matte finish. The shade looks a medium coral nude on me and is actually similar to MAC Kinda Sexy (see comparisons below) but with more brown on it.

These (matte) Lippie Stix all have similar formulas. Despite being matte, they are creamy and smooth. They also don't suck out the moisture out of my lips and I feel comfortable wearing them. On the lips, the color looks lush and creamy without any sheen (which I like).

Pigmentation is also commendable as I feel that one layer can give very opaque coverage. Texture is very lightweight and non-goopy. I also didn't notice any settling along the lip lines. Application is smooth - it didn't emphasize any dry patches and flakiness.

Wear time is average and I got four to five hours without reapplying. This is not transfer- and budge- proof so it will stick to your coffee cup and what nots. You also have to freshen it up a little after eating and drinking.

I have swatched Brink against a couple of my MAC lipsticks (Kinda Sexy and Velvet Teddy). As you can see Brink is almost the love child of Kinda Sexy and Velvet Teddy. Kinda Sexy is the most coral-toned, Velvet Teddy is darker with more brown while Brink sits in between with it being a nude coral with a dash of brown. I feel like you can probably get away with owning just one of these. Unless you're like me who will say they look very (absolutely!) different from each other so I definitely need tham all! :D
