Hey everyone! I'm back after more than two weeks of hiatus. I took some time off blogging because I have been busy with other things (i.e. watching Korean dramas). I finally got my schedule back in track. I am trying to be productive so I figured, the more things I have to do, the more motivation I will have so I have quite a long to-do list right now.

Anyways, me not updating doesn't mean I forgot about all the pretty things I'm obsessed with. Case in point, I bought several lipsticks the past few weeks so you can all expect reviews of those in the coming days. Also, as per my previous post, it is now officially Christmas season here in the Philippines. There are actually Christmas decors almost everywhere and Christmas carols are more prevalent more than ever. Along with the festive air, also comes sales, promotions and great bargains.

I picked up another Revlon lipstick which was on 50% off promotion. It's rare that they have their Colorburst Matte Balm on sale so I really had to buy at least one. *_* I was tempted to buy two (or three) but restrained myself to only one. The Revlon counter had three of the newer* shades in stock and I picked out the more neutral-ish color Fierce.

*Revlon released four new shades late last year (part of their Fall collection): Fiery, a red berry; Enchanting, a pinky beige; Passionate, a purple berry and Fierce, a cinnamon brown. I think they also discontinued Shameless (deep purple), Mischievous (light orange) andAudacious (bright orange) as they are now missing on their website.

Fierce (265) can be described as a medium terracotta brown with warm undertones and a semi-matte finish. I can't really classify this shade as a neutral but you can probably get away with wearing this at the office. The red undertones makes this shade more interesting and less of a grunge-punk look.

I think that Revlon did good with updating their Colorburst Matte Balm with the fours shades. As we are currently having a 90's revival both in fashion and beauty, it now all about grungy browns, taupes, greys and some mishmash colors like greige.

The formula is still consistent with the rest of the Colorburst Matte Balm, considering the deeper, richer shades like Sultry, Standout and Elusive. It applied smoothly and evenly and didn't settle into the lip lines.

This also give an opaque pigmentation, though I needed two layers to get full coverage. The formula is a little bit thinner that I remember so I feel like I needed that second swipe to get the true color that I wanted. Nevertheless, this still feels very comfortable on the lips and is slightly hydrating.

This stayed on me for about four hours before wearing off evenly without patchiness nor feathering. I had to reapply after eating a full meal but that is true for more "traditional" lipsticks. I didn't detect any bleeding so you can get away with not wearing a lip liner. This still has the minty smell which I don't mind.
