If you are looking for a deep, almost-vampy-but-not-really burgundy red, then Prim is the lipstick of choice. The shade is described as a dark blackened red with a slight warm undertones. This has a satin formula which is more of a semi-matte rather than your traditional satin - a plus for someone like me who loves mattes.

The formula is still divine. It's creamy and smooth and very easy to apply and spread across the lips without any bleeding nor settling into lip lines. Pigmentation is still great, with full and opaque coverage with just one sweep of color. You will sheen finish when it's freshly applied but after an hour or so it dried down to a semi-matte (with no sheen and shine).

On lips: ColourPop Ultra Satin Lip in Prim

So far, with all of Colourpop's Ultra Satin lipsticks, they are pretty much budge- and smudge-proof. The Ultra Satins are not completely transfer-proof but they will still stay put even with a full meal. With Prim's deeper shades, the color will remain on your lips until you decide to take it off (up to ten hours).

In addition to the long-lasting formula, this lipstick is lightweight and non-drying. It feels very comfortable on the lips. I now prefer this formula (Ultra Satin) over the Ultra Matte ones. This hits the sweet spot of a matte finish, without it being overly drying on the lips. The more satiny texture means that you will avoid any flaking and settling.
