Hello there and happy Monday to everyone. It's been raining cats and dogs for the past week and more so the last couple of days. I have been cooped up inside the house so I had a lot of time working on new posts. For today, I'm reviewing the last of the Burberry Liquid Lip Velvets that I have in my stash.

Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet in Regiment Red No. 37

Regiment Red No. 37 is a bright, medium-dark orange red with a satiny finish and warm undertones. The orange undertones is not too apparent against my skin tone and in some lighting this looks like a true red. This color brightens up my face but I feel like this can be a very bold look during daytime. Still, I have worn this color a lot lately even during the day because the weather have been quite gloomy and I needed a bright lipstick to liven up my look.

Consistent with the rest of the shades that I have (Fawn Rose, Brilliant Violet), this is ultra pigmented and a single swipe give full, opaque coverage. Application was a breeze and I only needed very little to get full, saturated color. The mousse-y formula felt very light and airy on the lips.

On lips: Burberry Liquid Lip Velvet in Regiment Red No. 37

This liquid lipstick does not dry down to a true, flat matte but the shine and creaminess disappear as you wear it longer. This wore well for up to eight hours and didn't settle on any lip lines. Despite the rich color, this didn't leave any stain. It also didn't dry out my lips.

Some side note: while I do like the selection of colors from Burberry's lip products, I feel that they should have more variety across the different formulas that they have. Burberry basically have the same shades but only in different formulas and finishes, it's becoming repetitive and maybe redundant (e.g. you can get Oxblood in liquid lip velvet, full kisses, kisses, kisses sheer, kisses gloss, lip velvet and the new lip velvet crush). That's seven formulas for one shade, which can be good since you can have options but they could have also expanded to more colors.
