Hello everyone. Hump Day! For today, I bring you a love affair that I'm sure would last for a long time - Wet n Wild Mega Last Lipsticks. I have Sweet Cream, which is part of the Limited Edition  Fall 2014 Mate Lipstick collection.

The four shades included are:
– Sweet Cream (nude)
– Bordeaux Boulevard (deep grape)
– Sunset Siren (orange-toned modern red)
– Urban Night (deep berry)

I'm such a sucker for Wet n Wild Mega Last lipsticks as they generally offer good quality, despite the price. The packaging for this is a bit different compared to the original (main) Mega Last line. The black tube is covered in a matte rubber (similar to NARS), instead of shiny plastic. I'm still on the fence whether I like it or not because based on my experience with this packaging, they can get dirty real quick.

Sweet Cream is a soft warm, peachy nude beige with warm undertones. Lighter shades can be unflattering on some skin tones as they have a tendency to look concealer-like on the lips. But this particular shade is very easy to wear and can suit most complexions. This color is great paired with a bold eye look.

Swatch: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Sweet Cream
Consistency and Texture: As with all other Wet n Wild Mega Last lipsticks, this one also applied smoothly and evenly. It's marketed as a "Matte" but it really isn't. The finish is much more satiny so  it glided effortlessly across my lips. It felt heavier than a balm in terms of texture, but it's lightweight enough not to feel uncomfortable on my lips.

Coverage and Pigmentation: Because of the matte formula, only one swipe is needed to achieve an opaque color. Another couple of swipes is required to get an even color across my lips. Despite being a lighter shade, it covered up my fairly pigmented lips well. The color didn't settle on lines and it didn't cause any flakiness.

Performance: Lasting power is above average and the color stayed for up to 3 hours. The fade off was a bit uneven but nothing that a touch up or a lip balm can fix. You can probably get a couple for hours of wear (and avoid feathering) with a lip liner.

(L-R) Just Peachy, Sweet Cream, Bare It All, In the Flesh
I pulled out some Wet n Wild lipstick from the permanent line to see if there are some dupes. The closest shade to Sweet Cream would be Bare It All. I think they look similar enough that if you have either one, you probably won't need the other. When swatched on my arms, Sweet Cream pulls more peach compared to Bare it All but on my lips, they are practically indistinguishable.

Overall: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Sweet Cream lipstick offers good quality for a great price. This lip color provides good, opaque color; smooth finish; and even texture. This perfect nude shade is Limited Edition (and might have already sold out) but if you can get your hands on this, grab it. :)
