Hey guys! How is your week doing? I have not been sleeping well, being awake up to the wee hours of the morning. I guess my insomnia is back with a vengeance after a few weeks of good sleep. On blogging news, I'm really falling behind with the reviews and I have a ton of products in the line up, despite the everyday updates. In truth, I just feel somewhat like a failure nowadays. The planned beach trip this weekend would really help so I can have some R&R and de-stress.

This is another lipstick review. I know you might all be tired of all the lipsticks but I'm not! :) I love lipstick, they are just amazing in transforming any look. You can look sweet and girly with pinks and peaches but if you wear a red, you suddenly look intimidating. If it's up to me, I would wear a red lipstick everyday but I don't because I can look strong and "suplada" (snob) with it. True story: I wore MAC Ruby Woo to the mall last weekend and every sales person I dealt with "politely" left me alone. It's like the parting of the Red Sea as soon as I enter a store, which I find kind of funny because normally they would be pushing products in my face. With the red lips, they barely looked me in the eye even if I was the one initiating the conversation. I really find this fascinating so sometimes, I deliberately do some un-normal makeup and see how people react to me. :D

Back to the review! I don't have a red lipstick for today; instead, I have Just Peachy, a permanent shade from Wet n Wild's Mega Last line. This is a light, summery and un-suplada shade.

Swatch: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Just Peachy

Just Peachy (903C) is a light-medium whitened peach-pink with some cooler undertones. Under normal (natural) light, the color appeared more peach vs. in artificial (indoors) light which it seemed more pink. The white in it makes it appear a bit "mod" from afar, but thankfully, it didn't wash me out. It had the right amount of peachy tones to balance out my skin tone.

Consistency and Texture: This one also applied satiny (with a bit of shine, no shimmer). It glided on the lips smoothly and evenly and felt quite lightweight.

Coverage and Pigmentation: Very opaque, heavily pigmented color and one swipe pretty much covers your lips. The color doesn't settle into lip lines, emphasize flakiness, bleed nor feather. The color is buildable and I didn't have any trouble packing it in.

Performance: Staying power was decent considering this was a lighter shade. It stayed on for up to 4 hours through a meal, although I have to dab a little to make the color look even. It faded relatively even.

Overall: Wet n Wild Mega Last Lip Color in Just Peachy is pretty much consistent with the Megalast line, colors are fully opaque and buildable, apply evenly and smoothly and has decent staying power. Just Peachy strikes a balance between peachy and nude to achieve a toned-down look for the warmer seasons.For people who like mattes this lipstick could become one of their favorites.
