Hello again. Today's second review features another lip mask. This Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask has been a popular cult product for awhile now so I finally bought a mini size to try out.

This mini size only contains 3g of product and is packaged in a simple plastic twist up tub. This doesn't come with a spatula vs. the full-size version so I just use a cotton bud or clean fingers. This product has a more pronounced berry smell (and less sweet) compared to the Carenel mask. It is not overpowering and disappears within minutes upon application so it was not a problem for my sensitive nose. If I have to pick between this and the Carenel, I prefer the scent of this mask as it is less artificial.

Laneige Special Care Lip Sleeping Mask (Berry)

Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask has a thick, emollient texture. You only need a tiny amount for your lips due to the buttery formula. Using too much results to sticky and uncomfortable feeling so I always make sure to use just the right amount.

This mask feels similar to the Carenel lip mask. If I have to nitpick, I would say that this one feels less emollient and therefore, less sticky. Both still feels sticky but prefer the formula of this lip mask.

The mask moisturizes and rejuvenates the lips overnight. I massaged this on my lips and it spreads smoothly and all the dead skin comes off easily after a few minutes. In the morning, my lips looks and feels soft, smooth and supple. It is effective in nourishing and soothing the lips so those that have dry or flaky lips will benefit from this product. With that being said, you can get similar (or better) results with other less pricey (and maybe less sticky) products like my personal all-around staple, Rosebud Salve.
