Hello there everyone. After last weeks full travel schedule, I'm back with makeup reviews. I bought a couple of boxes Revlon hair color months ago and I got this lipstick for free. It's a good deal if you're actually going to use the free lipstick but most of the shades that were for free were not good nor flattering on most skin tones (mostly darker browns or bright pinks). Luckily, I bright pinks look ok against my yellow-toned skin so I'm able to wear this color.

605 HD Obsession is described in Revlon's website as "matte fuchsia." It's a medium bright pink with blue undertones and a creamy-matte finish.

This shade is bold and can be intimidating to wear. If you're adventurous with lip colors, this shade of pink can be flattering on most complexions. I'm one who doesn't shy away from bright pinks (when my mood permits) so I do like this color for me. It definitely brightens my complexion and gives life to my face. With this on the lips, you can tone down the rest of your makeup.

As with two of the Revlon HD Matte that I have reviewed, this one also has great pigmentation. You get full coverage with a single swipe. The color is somewhat buildable up to point (three layers maybe), after which you just end up with a gloppy mess. With this lipstick, less is more since it already has good color payoff. Applying in thin, single layers is still best with this lipstick to avoid streaking and bleeding.

Consistent with the HD Matte formula, this lipstick also doesn't completely dry down to a flat matte finish. The thin and spreadable formula also means you can also use this as a lip tint or stain or even as a blush.

Application is easy and smooth, it didn't settle into lines nor bled out. Texture is velvety and very creamy. Because of the balmy consistency, it doesn't flake nor crack. It feels very light and comfortable on the lips after it has dried down to a semi-matte finish.

The creamier finish means the lipstick transfers a lot. But because of the richer payoff, it stayed on longer. The color remained or up to four hours. The transfer was not an issue for me as I can reapply and still get a smooth and patch-free finish. It faded evenly and left a light pink stain. I noticed a slight sweet vanilla fragrance which didn't bother me (but I could do without) since it faded after a while.
